Capitalism is not dead in the West, it is just transforming itself into a kleptocratic, utterly corrupt and decaying form which is increasingly allied with fascism. The latter is what happens when the bourgeois oligarchy cannot control society through the "manufacture of consent", known as "liberal democracy".
